Consent Purposes

Purpose: Define and maintain explicit processing purposes (e.g., Marketing, Essential Services, Analytics) presented to users during consent collection.

Create a New Purpose​

  • Step 1: Click New Purpose → define unique purpose code and plain-language explanation.
  • Step 2: Select whether user opt-in is optional or required for system usage.
  • Step 3: Save and publish purpose version.

Versioning & Deprecation​

  • Step 1: Update existing purpose description to trigger a new version prompt for end users.
  • Step 2: Deprecate old purposes to stop presenting them in active consent screens.

Governance & Compliance​

  • Review purpose definitions annually to ensure alignment with GDPR/CCPA regulations.
  • Audit changes via Audit Log.
